About Cambridge Transportation
(Cambridge, England)
Cambridge can easily be reached by bus and rail from the capital, with the main bus station being situated centrally and the train station to the southeast of the city. Links with London are excellent, with the journey taking less than an hour by coach or train.
Most of the city can be seen on foot, but cycling is also a popular and cheap way to get around, with bicycle rentals available. Road links are also good, although driving within the city can be confusing due to the one-way systems and inadequate parking facilities; however, taxis are on-hand for short hops.
The nearest airports to Cambridge are in London and regular international and domestic flights land at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, the latter being the closest, from where frequent bus and rail services run to Cambridge.
